“Desire…is the engine that ingites the necessary spark to transform things. One desires, imagines, projects oneself prior to undertake any action or change on the immediate reality. A germinal idea can foster several things, but beyond actual results, the most important is not to lose the capacity to imagine, project and create…”

Geometry sustains, balances her artwork and lays out her composition making reference to her work as an architect. The inclusion of textures and materials gathered throughout time (old sheet music, wood, steel mesh, paper) takes on a new meaning and becomes part of a new wholeness. A diverse world, interlocked with shapes, shades and textures preserving a sensitive essence full of personal connotations.

CRISTICS / COMMENTS

CRISTINA SIKORA. …She takes us by the hand to contemplate her artwork. Our eyes travel through the paths that she proposes, without any loss. Diagonals that crisscross  violently, silences of containment over textures that surround us, to make way for color in a universe that she delimits. She leads our eyes so that they open the door, not only of a formal path, but in search of emotion, of contemplation as well. Her painting stops our walk, invites us to leave the daily dizziness so that we enter into its poesy and activates the best of us, enabling us to open our senses. Cristina gives us not merely her aesthetics, but also her ethics through painting, in search of that other, showing the communication capacity of painting.
